Christmas Activity Day
Christmas Fun
by Austin K
On December 20th, Holy Trinity held an
activity day. The activities started around twelve
o'clock. The kids all had lunch together and celebrated
Father Philip's Birthday and then Team 21 helped set everything
up. All the kids made gingerbread houses with candy,
graham crackers, milk cartons and icing while Team 21 helped and
supervised. After everyone was finished making their
gingerbread houses, some crafts were brought out that the
students worked on until about one-thirty. At that time,
everyone went back to their classrooms to have their Christmas
Parties. (The theme of this year's Christmas Parties was
"Happy Birthday Jesus" and students brought wrapped toys for
Jesus to be donated to Christmas Connection and given to
families in need.) Eighth graders Kinsey and Cristina
said, "I liked helping the kids and making icing for the
gingerbread houses."
Food Drive
by Savannah B
The food drive was when each class
at Holy Trinity School had a box in their classroom. The 7th
and 8th graders carried the boxes into Mrs. Sander's classroom and
the 7th graders counted the number of cans in each box. The
8th graders drew a bar graph by the amount of cans per student.
The food went to Kingfisher County Food Bank. The Pre-K class
brought 12.1 cans per student, 1st grade brought 6.5 cans/student ,
2nd and 3rd brought 22 cans/student , 4th and 5th brought 19.5
cans/student, 6th brought 4.1 cans/student, 7th brought 10
cans/student and 8th brought 13.5 cans per student. The winner
of the food drive was the 2nd and 3rd grade!!! Congratulations!
Grandparent's Day
The students of Holy Trinity
celebrated Grandparent's Day by inviting Grandparents and
Grandfriends for a few games of bingo. The event was hosted by
Team 21 and included juice, doughnuts and prizes.
Back to School Swim Party
After an intensive planning meeting,
Team 21 let loose at a swim party to welcome in the new
school year.
Retreat
Aug. 6th and 7th the Holy Trinity
leadership group traveled to Norman. The
overnight trip allowed team members to plan events for the
2007-2008 school year, develop their leadership skills and learn
teamwork at a Ropes course.
