An Outdoor Classroom has just been completed east of the main school building. The classroom gives all of the teachers access to a facility that can be used for anything from Music classes to Science experiments and from Pre K -3 to 8th grade. Part of the Outdoor Classroom are the "Planting Boxes". With Okarche having a long history of agriculture, it is important our students embrace and understand that history. There will be three large, above ground, planting boxes with each grade having their own section. The teachers and students will have the freedom to plant vegetables to flowers from Spring through the Fall. The Outdoor Classroom will be blessed by the Archbishop on Please feel free to join us and tour our new facility. The growth of Holy Trinity School is a reflection of the past and a vision of the future!
Holy Trinity School has just purchased forty computer chromebooks. This purchase will allow enough classroom computers for every student from fifth through eighth grade for every subject. Small class numbers have always been a benefit of a Holy Trinity education. Now Holy Trinity can also boast of technological benefits that match any larger school. Future generations will need to compete with the growing trends of a technologically-driven society, rest assured that Holy Trinity students will be ready.
The Holy Trinity STEM program continues on . STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We are determined at Holy Trinity School that our students will excell in these four areas. The students understand the importance as well, so much so they are willing to stay an extra hour each week to participate in STEM. The first semester STEM was focused on chemical composition and results of chemical combinations. The second semester STEM will focus on Space Travel, Space Technology, and Living in Space: Is it possible in the future? STEM is an after-school, multi-week class. The program engages the students, grades 4th - 8th, with hands-on activities, demonstrations, and inquiry-based discussions. In every class, students build a fun and educational take-home project. STEM is another example of how Holy Trinity School no longer follows the lead of others, but instead is on the educational road no others have yet travelled.
