Catholic Schools week started January 27th.
On this day the theme was "Catholic Schools Light the Way in our
Parish" and students wore their uniform shirts and attended mass
with their families at 10:30, then visited the Book Fair and
Father Philip read a story. On Monday, January 28th the
theme was "Catholic Schools Light the Way for our Students".
On this day all students were appreciated and treated to
breakfast and the teachers did not assign any homework.
Tuesday, January 29th and theme was "Catholic Schools Light the
way for our Community and Nation". Elected officials were
invited to lunch and students wore red, white and blue to show
pride in their nation. On Wednesday, January 30th the
theme was "Catholic Schools Light the way in our Families".
The students took a trip to the bowling alley for Bowling for
Bucks (a fund raiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in
conjunction with the Pennies for Patients Program). In the
evening families gathered for bingo game night and book fair.
On Thursday, January 31st it was faculty and staff appreciation
day. The teachers dressed casually and were treated to a
catered lunch and the seventh and eighth grade taught classes
that day. On Friday, February 1st grades 2-8 volunteered
at the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank and packed over 3 tons in
food for needy families. Catholic Schools Week had a
lot in store!!
