Why the Parishioners would like you to register

When you register to become a member of the Parish you state your intent to be part of our Faith community.  We are all unique members of the Body of Christ and bless each other in our unique way, being part of the community. We are a community who shares our strengths, supports each other in challenging times and pray together to be strengthened in our Faith.

Reasons you may want to register

Registration will provide you the opportunity to:

  • Get to know Fr. John Peter, Deacon Max and all the staff; allow them to know you
  • Allows the Parish to communicate with you through mailings
  • Receive Sacraments in your faith community; keep you sacramental records current
  • Pray the Mass, which is a communal experience, with your fellow Parishioners
  • Receive Pastoral Care, as needed and desired.
  • Identify and live out your vocation in a supportive environment.
  • Identify, use and develop your charisms in a nurturing environment
  • Deepen your Life in Christ through community involvement, prayer, ongoing study and service
  • Donate regularly through the envelope or electronic online programs

What is required of you?

Here are the minimum requirements that are expected of parish members (Catholics):

  1. Participate at Mass on Sundays, and also on the holy days of obligation.
  2. Go to Confession at least once a year.
  3. Receive Communion at least once a year during the Easter season.
  4. Join in the fast and abstinence during Lent.
  5. Provide for the support of the Church through monetary gifts and/or active service.

Young Adult Registration

Note that once children turn 18 they are considered independent members and will need to register independently of their parents regardless of  their living arrangement–away at college, living in parental home, temporarily out of state, etc.

Many young adults are surprised to find that Parish registration is required for marriage to take place at the Parish. The same is true for their children to receive the sacraments.
